Texas Attorney General v. Allstate and Arity: driving-data action
The Attorney General's action against Allstate and Arity over the collection and use of driving data, pleaded under the TDPSA, the Texas data broker law, and the Texas Insurance Code. In trial cause 25-01-00561, the 457th District Court of Montgomery County (Judge Vince Santini) entered two separate judgments: an April 10, 2025 judgment (appealed in No. 15-25-00082-CV, State of Texas v. Arity 875, LLC) and a November 7, 2025 judgment (appealed in No. 15-25-00213-CV). The April 10, 2025 judgment granted the special appearance and dismissed claims for lack of personal jurisdiction (per Bloomberg Law). The parties and claims addressed by the November 7, 2025 judgment were not established in the sources reviewed, so this record does not describe a complete case-wide dismissal. Both appeals were submitted May 21, 2026 (per the Fifteenth Court of Appeals submitted-cases list); no appellate disposition appears in the reviewed official case-event records.
